1000 Words as a Picture
Every autumn, a divine tug summons birds from all over the Northern Hemisphere to migrate from cold climates to the warmer climates in the south. My family received a similar tug in the spring of 2006, to move from Smyrna, Delaware to Leland, North Carolina. As I write this, over a year later, we still have not stabilized our home, but there is a light at the end tunnel.   more...

Turtle Pancakes
My wife and I were walking in beautiful Greenfield Park a couple of weeks ago. As we walked my keen eye noticed something in the busy street that ran alongside the path. At first I thought they were large coins, but there were too many. But then I noticed little tiny legs and a head on each dark green “coin.” They were baby turtles!
